The PCC, which has so far nursed the idea of a Pan-African Cooperative Bank, deemed it necessary to meet the United Nations Economic Commission for Central Africa (ECA) in order to involve it in the implementation of this very important financial tool.
The Director of the ECA Regional Representation, Mr. Emile AHOE, accepted to receive and examine the file before forwarding it to the mother institution based in Addis Ababa. Several other meetings with him have been envisaged.
This first encounter, which took place before the programme budget obstacle slowed down the processing of the PCC application file, will remain memorable because of the quality of discussions between the two parties. However, the PCC welcomes the decision of the sub regional ECA representation to support the activities of the PCC as a development institution.
