The PCC was invited to the 5th International Conference of African Ministers in charge of housing and urban development (AMCHUD) held in N'Djamena from 25 to 28 February 2014

amchudFor the first time, the PCC following its discussions with UN Habitat in view of a possible partnership attended the meeting of African Ministers in charge of housing, from 25 to 28 February 2014 in N'Djamena.

This 5th Pan-African conference of its kind offered the singular opportunity for the PCC through its Executive Secretary, Mr. Ibrahima NDOUR, to conduct in-depth advocacy for the promotion of cooperative social housing in Africa. Thus, the Executive Secretary supported in his advocacy by the Senegalese delegation that has a real national experience in cooperative social housing witnessed the adoption of the cooperative housing option among the major resolutions of the meeting.

During the conference, the Executive Secretary was contacted by several delegations including Cameroon, Chad, DRC, Niger, Zimbabwe, for collaboration on projects targeting the promotion of cooperative housing.
